Introduction
This is one of the most impactful fears that affect a person’s life:
Enemies
Magic
Jealousy
Evil eye
The fear of these things:
— Weakens the heart
— Disturbs the mind
— Increases uncertainty
— Makes a person feel broken
— Weakens trust in Allah
But the reality is:
“A believer does not walk by the fear of enemies — he walks by the command of Allah.”
The Qur’an and Hadith tell us clearly:
Enemies
Magic
Jealousy
Evil eye
— All of these are real,
but they only affect a person if Allah allows it.
⸻
1. Fear of enemies — Qur’anic guidance
Allah says:
“If Allah afflicts you with harm, none can remove it except Him.”
(Surah Al-An’am 6:17)
Meaning:
The enemy’s power is controlled by Allah
The enemy can do nothing without Allah’s permission
A believer acknowledges the existence of enemies,
but fears only Allah.
⸻
2. Magic — its reality, its limits, and Allah’s power
Magic is mentioned clearly in the Qur’an:
﴿ فَيَتَعَلَّمُونَ مِنْهُمَا مَا يُفَرِّقُونَ بِهِ بَيْنَ الْمَرْءِ وَزَوْجِهِ ﴾
“They learned from them magic that caused separation between a man and his wife.”
(Surah Al-Baqarah 2:102)
But immediately after this, Allah declares:
﴿ وَمَا هُمْ بِضَارِّينَ بِهِ مِنْ أَحَدٍ إِلَّا بِإِذْنِ اللَّهِ ﴾
“But they cannot harm anyone with it except by Allah’s permission.”
Meaning:
Magic exists
It has effects
But without Allah’s permission, it has no power
⸻
3. Fear of jealousy — Qur’an’s protection
Jealousy is so strong that Allah commanded believers to seek His protection from it:
﴿ وَمِنْ شَرِّ حَاسِدٍ إِذَا حَسَدَ ﴾
“And from the evil of the envier when he envies.”
(Surah Al-Falaq)
But for a believer:
The jealous person is weak
Protection comes only from Allah
⸻
4. Evil eye — its reality in Hadith
The Prophet ﷺ said:
“العين حق”
“The evil eye is real.”
(Sahih Bukhari 5740)
Another hadith:
“If anything could precede destiny, it would be the evil eye.”
(Sahih Muslim 2188)
Meaning:
Evil eye has powerful effects
But it still cannot exceed destiny
⸻
5. The root of this fear — Shaytan’s strategy
The Qur’an states:
﴿ إِنَّمَا ذَٰلِكُمُ الشَّيْطَانُ يُخَوِّفُ أَوْلِيَاءَهُ ﴾
“This is Shaytan who frightens you with his allies.”
(Surah Aal-Imran 3:175)
Shaytan’s goals:
To magnify the enemy
To make magic seem unstoppable
To create fear of jealousy
To portray evil eye as undefeatable
But the truth is:
“Shaytan’s only weapon is fear — not power.”
⸻
6. True protection of a believer — Allah’s guarantee
Allah declares:
“You (Shaytan) have no authority over My servants.”
(Surah Al-Hijr 15:42)
And again:
“Magic cannot harm anyone without Allah’s permission.”
(Surah Al-Baqarah 2:102)
Meaning:
Enemy → Weak
Magic → Limited
Jealousy → Under control
Evil eye → Subservient to Allah’s command
⸻
7. Islamic protective shields — Qur’an and Sunnah
1— Surah Al-Fatihah
A cure for every spiritual and physical disease.
⸻
2— Ayat-ul-Kursi
The Prophet ﷺ said:
“Whoever recites it, Allah appoints a guardian for him.”
(Sahih Bukhari 2311)
⸻
3— Surah Al-Falaq + Surah An-Naas
(Al-Mu‘awwidhatayn)
Protection against:
— Magic
— Jealousy
— Evil eye
— Devils
— All forms of harm
⸻
4— Surah Yaseen
Strengthens the heart, eases pathways.
⸻
5— Morning and Evening Adhkar
The Prophet ﷺ said:
“Whoever recites the morning adhkar, nothing can harm him until evening.”
(Sunan Tirmidhi 3388)
And if recited in the evening → protected until morning.
The actual adhkar included in this protection are:
1. Ayat-ul-Kursi — morning + evening
2. Surah Al-Ikhlas — 3 times
3. Surah Al-Falaq — 3 times
4. Surah An-Naas — 3 times
5. Du‘a:
Recite:
— 3 times morning
— 3 times evening
6. Du‘a:
— 7 times morning
— 7 times evening
7. Sayyid-ul-Istighfar:
Morning: Paradise becomes guaranteed
Evening: Paradise becomes guaranteed
(Sahih Bukhari 6306)
⸻
8. Psychological aspect — fear hurts more than reality
Often:
The enemy is weak
But our fear is powerful
The magician is helpless
But our imagination becomes sick
The jealous person is far away
But we break inside
Evil eye is momentary
Fear lasts years
Islam teaches:
“Fear only reality — and the only real power is Allah.”
⸻
9. Practical methods — protection from enemies, magic, jealousy, and evil eye
Recite Ayat-ul-Kursi daily
Recite Al-Falaq and An-Naas 3–7 times
Recite Surah Al-Baqarah in the home weekly
Say “MashaAllah” to prevent jealousy
Whenever fear comes, recite:
“Allah is sufficient for me.”
Remind your heart:
“My protection is not in the hands of the enemy — it is in the hands of my Lord.”
⸻
Conclusion
A believer stands on this truth:
The enemy can do nothing without Allah
Magic cannot act without Allah
Jealousy cannot harm without Allah
Evil eye cannot surpass destiny
Fear disappears when this certainty enters the heart:
**“Allah is my Protector —
No force in the universe can touch me without His will.”**
⸻
Final Prayer
O Allah,
protect us from every evil of enemies, magic, jealousy, and evil eye.
O Allah,
remove fear from our hearts
and fill them with Your light.
O Allah,
protect our homes, our families, our sustenance, and our lives
as You protect those whom You love.
Ameen, O Lord of the Worlds.
