Introduction — What Are the “End Times”?
In Islamic belief, the “End Times” refer to a period in which:
• Trials and tribulations will increase
• Truth and falsehood will become difficult to distinguish
• Faith will weaken
• Morality will decline
• Corruption and injustice will rise
• Global systems will collapse
These stages ultimately lead to the appearance of Imam Mahdi, the Dajjal (Antichrist), and the descent of Prophet Jesus (ʿIsa) عليه السلام, which culminate in the Day of Judgment.
Qur’an declares:
﴿اقْتَرَبَتِ السَّاعَةُ وَانْشَقَّ الْقَمَرُ﴾
“The Hour has drawn near, and the moon has split.”
(Al-Qamar: 1)
This was the first divine announcement of the nearness of the Last Day.

**“Then only the worst people will remain;
they will commit immorality like animals;
and upon them the Hour will be established.”**
These will be:
• People without faith
• Without morality
• Without any connection to Allah
⸻
9 — The Final Signs of the Day of Judgment
After the passing of ʿIsa عليه السلام and the removal of believers:
• The sun will rise from the west
• The Beast of the Earth (Dabbatul-Arḍ) will emerge
• Smoke will cover the earth
• Fire will drive people
• The Trumpet (Ṣūr) will be blown
• Graves will open
All according to divine decree.
⸻
10 — All of This Is Allah’s Pre-Decided System
Qur’an:
﴿إِنَّ كُلَّ شَيْءٍ خَلَقْنَاهُ بِقَدَرٍ﴾
“Indeed, We have created everything according to a precise measure.”
Meaning:
• The appearance of Mahdi
• The emergence of Dajjāl
• The descent of ʿIsa
• The coming of Yājūj and Mājūj
• The final signs of Qiyamah
All are divine decisions, beyond human control.
⸻
11 — What Is Our Role? (The Most Important Section)
If humans cannot control the events of the End Times,
what is our true responsibility?
1 — A Human Being Is Accountable Only for What He Controls
Prophet Muhammad ﷺ said:
“You will be questioned only about what you were given control over.”
(Muslim)
Meaning:
We will NOT be asked when Mahdi will come
We will NOT be asked how close Dajjāl is
We will NOT be asked when ʿIsa عليه السلام will descend
But we WILL be asked:
What did you do with your prayers?
Did you guard your eyes?
Did you purify your soul?
Did you raise your family upon Islam?
Did you earn halal or haram?
Did you stand with the truth or bend under pressure?
This is our real test.
⸻
2 — Standing Firm on the Truth (The First Obligation)
Qur’an commands:
﴿فَاسْتَقِمْ كَمَا أُمِرْتَ﴾
“So stand firm as you have been commanded.”
Meaning:
No matter what the world becomes
No matter how much falsehood spreads
No matter how corrupt the time becomes
A believer must keep his path straight.
⸻
3 — Supporting the Truth (Even If the Majority Is Wrong)
Prophet Muhammad ﷺ said:
**“Recognize the truth even if people abandon it;
abandon falsehood even if people follow it.”**
(Tirmidhi)
Therefore:
The majority can be wrong
Media can mislead
Falsehood may dominate
But truth remains truth.
A believer holds onto it.
⸻
4 — Worship in Times of Trial Has the Reward of Hijrah
Prophet Muhammad ﷺ said:
“Worship during times of tribulation is like making Hijrah to me.”
(Muslim)
Meaning:
Prayer
Qur’an
Dhikr
Charity
Modesty
Patience
Controlling desires
These are the real Jihad of the End Times.
⸻
12 — The Conclusion: Our Only Duty Is to Fulfil Our Responsibilities
All major End-Time events:
• Mahdi
• Dajjāl
• Descent of ʿIsa
• Yājūj and Mājūj
• The final signs
• The Hour
Are Allah’s decrees.
Our duty is:
Strengthen our faith
Live by Qur’an and Sunnah
Hold firmly to the truth
Support the people of truth
Avoid falsehood
Protect ourselves from trials
Purify our soul
Remain connected to the righteous
This is the path of salvation.
⸻
13 — The Company of the Righteous — The Greatest Gift of Today’s Age
In a world full of:
• Fitnah
• Confusion
• Misguidance
• Corruption
• Dajjāl-like deception
If Allah grants a person the companionship of those who:
Follow the Sunnah
Walk the path that pleases Allah
Possess knowledge, piety, sincerity, and truth
This is not merely a blessing —
it is a divine protection.
Prophet Muhammad ﷺ said:
“A person will be with those he loves.”
(Bukhari)
If one’s love and connection is with the righteous,
his final destination will be with the righteous.
