Introduction

These fears naturally appear in every human heart:

✔️Fear of sustenance

✔️Fear of the future

✔️Fear about children’s future

✔️Fear for the safety of family

✔️Fear of illness, accidents, and hardship

✔️Fear of poverty, loss, or deprivation

But the Qur’an and the teachings of

Prophet Muhammad ﷺ tell us:

“The sustenance of a believer, his future, his children, his protection — all are under the guarantee of Allah.”

So if fear brings a person closer to Allah, it is mercy.

If fear leads to hopelessness, it is the attack of Shaytan.

1. Fear of Sustenance — The First Declaration of the Qur’an

Allah says:

“And in the heaven is your provision and all that you are promised.”

(Surah Adh-Dhariyat 51:22)

Meaning:

✔️Sustenance is not in human hands

✔️It is written by Allah

✔️No power can increase or decrease it

Therefore:

❌Business does not give sustenance

❌Man does not own sustenance

✔️Business / job / effort → only a means

✔️Sustenance → is Allah’s decree

2. Fear of the Future — The Certainty of the Qur’an

A person fears:

“What will happen tomorrow?”

“What if everything collapses?”

Allah says:

“Whoever puts his trust in Allah — He is sufficient for him.”

(Surah At-Talaq 65:3)

A believer’s future is:

✔️Not in his planning

✔️Not in his effort

✔️Not in his strategies

✔️But entirely in the guarantee of Allah

3. Fear Regarding Children — Allah’s Promise

Parents constantly worry about:

✔️Children’s future

✔️Education

✔️Health

✔️Provision

✔️Religion

✔️Safety

But Allah says:

“We provide for them and for you.”

(Surah Al-An‘am 6:151)

Meaning:

✔️Children’s sustenance → already written

✔️Their future → Allah’s decree

✔️Their destiny → Allah’s plan

✔️Their protection → Allah’s responsibility

Parents’ concern is love —

but protection belongs to Allah.

4. Fear for Family’s Safety — Allah’s Encompassing Protection

Crime, accidents, diseases —

all these cause fear.

Allah says:

“Allah is the best Protector.”

(Surah Yusuf 12:64)

Meaning:

✔️A human cannot protect anyone

✔️He can only adopt means

✔️Real protection is from Allah

Thus a believer recites:

اللَّهُمَّ احْفَظْنِي وَأَهْلِي

“O Allah, protect me and my family.”

5. The Attack of Shaytan — Fear of “Loss”

The Qur’an exposes Shaytan’s tactic clearly:

﴿ الشَّيْطَانُ يَعِدُكُمُ الْفَقْرَ ﴾

“Shaytan threatens you with poverty.”

(Surah Al-Baqarah 2:268)

Shaytan whispers:

❌“If you give charity — you’ll become poor.”

❌“If you pay zakat — you’ll suffer loss.”

❌“If you rely on Allah — you’ll be destroyed.”

But this is deception.

Allah says:

“And Allah promises you forgiveness and increase.”

(Surah Al-Baqarah 2:268)

One side → fear from Shaytan

Other side → certainty from Allah

6. Why Does Fear About Sustenance and Future Appear?

1. Relying on the world

People begin to believe that:

✔️Business

✔️Job

✔️Market

✔️People

✔️Circumstances

— control their sustenance.

But sustenance is written by Allah alone.

2. Not seeing the path ahead

A person only sees the roads in front of him.

Allah opens roads that humans cannot even imagine.

3. Intense love for children

Sometimes love turns into fear.

4. Burden of circumstances

Life breaks a person,

while Allah is holding him every moment.

7. According to the Qur’an — The Cure for Fear Is Certainty + Trust

Allah says:

“Let the believers place their trust in Allah alone.”

(Surah Aal Imran 3:122)

Trust (tawakkul) means:

✔️Make effort

✔️Make plans

✔️Work hard

✔️Pray

✔️But tie the heart only to Allah

The one with trust is never alone.

8. Practical Steps — Turning Fear into Strength

✔️1. Recite Surah Yaseen daily

Brings ease in sustenance and paths.

✔️2. Recite istighfar 100 times daily

Opens doors of provision and future.

✔️3. Blow Surah Falaq and Surah Nas on children morning & evening

✔️4. Recite Surah Al-Baqarah once a week at home

✔️5. Recite:

“Allah is sufficient for me.”

✔️6. Give charity

It removes calamities and increases sustenance.

✔️7. Entrust your family and children to Allah

This gives peace to the heart.

9. Conclusion — A Believer’s Fear Turns into Certainty

A believer eventually understands:

✔️My sustenance → Allah’s decree

✔️My future → Allah’s wisdom

✔️My children → Allah’s trust

✔️My protection → Allah’s responsibility

✔️My doors → Allah opens them

✔️My hardships → Allah’s test

✔️My ease → Allah’s mercy

When the heart truly believes:

“Allah is my Guardian and Caretaker.”

Then all fears disappear.

Final Prayer

O Allah,

remove from our hearts the fear of sustenance, the fear of the future, and the fear about our children,

and fill us with Your love and Your certainty.

O Allah,

protect our sustenance, our lives, our children, and our homes.

O Allah,

grant us hearts

that fear none but You,

and rely on none but You.

Ameen, O Lord of the worlds.
